Constitution Week

Mayor Gene McGee is shown signing the Proclamation of Constitution Week with Martha Denny, Regent, Magnolia State Chapter, NSDAR.

September 17, 2017 marks the 230th anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America. The week of September 17-23 has been designated as Constitution Week by public law 915.  In the Proclamation signed by Mayor McGee of Ridgeland, citizens are asked to reaffirm the ideals of the framers of the constitution by protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us through this guardian of our liberties, remembering that lost rights may never be regained.
