Miracle League Field and Season Opening

The City of Ridgeland in partnership with the Miracle League of Central Mississippi will be celebrating the grand opening of the new Miracle League Field and the inaugural season of Miracle League of Central Mississippi baseball.

The Miracle League is designed for ages 5 and older including youth and adults who have developmental and/or physical challenges that prevent them from playing in a mainstream league. The Miracle League Field is made of specialized rubber that is completely flat and has no barriers, allowing easy access for wheelchairs, canes, walkers, crutches, and prosthetic limbs. A newly built Miracle League Field, located at Hite Wolcott Park in Ridgeland, will be in use for the games. The Miracle League will be operated by the City of Ridgeland Recreation and Parks Department.

The public is invited to the Grand Opening of Parker Miracle Field at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 20 and to stay for the first game of the season at 5:30 p.m. Visit http://www.miracleleagueofcentralms.com/ for more information.
