The Notice to Proceed for the Harbor Drive construction project was given by the City of Ridgeland on September 14, 2006.  Construction of the Harbor Drive Relocation project will begin on September 25.  The finish date is no later than 180 days.  Drivers may expect to return to use of this roadway in the spring of 2007.  More >>

Ridgeland Firefighters' Auxiliary presents the 1st Annual Emergency Services Softball Tournament to benefit victims of fire and the Mississippi Burn Camp.  Admission is free for the public to enjoy a day of friendly competition between fire departments and to show support for emergency services personnel.  A ceremony will be held honoring the September 11 anniversary of fallen fighters, emergency medical servicepersons, and police officers at the World Trade Center.  More>>

The City of Ridgeland recently awarded the Harbor Drive road construction project to Hemphill Construction Co., Inc. The award was made public at the Board of Aldermen Meeting on August 15, 2006.  Work on the project will likely begin in September, and it will take six months to complete. More>>

In February of 2005, the City of Ridgeland’s Police Department composed and mailed letters to Thad Cochran, Trent Lott and Chip Pickering requesting $1,500,000 in funding for a project which will place mobile data terminals in the City of Ridgeland and Madison's vehicles and the necessary hardware and software for the laptops to communicate and interface with existing systems.
