November Proclaimed American Music Month in Ridgeland

Mayor Gene McGee signs a Proclamation for American Music Month while Kathy Hammack, President of Canton Music Study Club, looks on. American Music Month is observed during the month of November by the National Federation of Music Clubs through recognition of the Parade of American Music. The purpose of American Music Month is to present and promote music composed or arranged by American composers. Members of the Canton Music Study Club live throughout Madison County. The Mayor’s Proclamation urges residents to support and recognize American music as an important part of our culture.
