Upcoming Special Events offered by the City of Ridgeland

Family fun is on as KidFest! Ridgeland takes over Freedom Ridge Park on April 26 and 27.  Tickets are $10 at the gate and $8 in advance through the Ridgeland Recreation and Parks office, Ridgeland Tourism Commission, M & F Banks, and BeBop Record Shop.

Bicycle Rodeo will be Saturday, May 3 at 1:00 p.m. Come to Freedom Ridge Park for an afternoon of bicycle safety information, bicycle decorating and parade, demonstrations and lots of fun. 

Upcoming Community Events in Ridgeland

National Day of Prayer will be celebrated in Ridgeland at City Hall, 304 Highway 51 at 12:10 p.m on Thursday, May 1. 

The RHS Athletic Booster Club Golf Tournament will be at Whisper Lake Country Club on May 1 starting at 1:00 p.m. Team entry (4 golfers) fee is $500 (includes lunch, cart and golf shirt).  Individual entry is $125.  Contact Derrick Freeman, 601-497-1491. 

Ridgeland City Garden Club will meet at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 6 at the Ridgeland Rec Center. 

Spring Book Sale at the Ridgeland Library is scheduled for May 17 - 22.

Free Basic Maintenance Bicycle Clinic will be held at Indian Cycle on May 20. 

The Second Annual Ride of Silence is Wednesday, May 21 at 6 p.m..  Leaving from Northpark Mall, cyclists ride silently to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while riding on public roads and to bring awareness to the importance of sharing the road. 

Spring Cleaning Week in Ridgeland (Great American Cleanup) is May 24 - May 31.  Dumpsters will be available at Fire Stations 1 and 2.  Interstate Battery on Highway 51 will accept batteries all week.  Household Hazardous Waste Day is Saturday, May 31 at Holmes Community College, 8 a.m. - 12:00 noon.
