Pavilion FAQ

Q. Which parks have pavilions available for rental?

A.There are only 3 pavilions available to rent at Freedom Ridge Park (Pavilions 1,2, and 3).  Pavilions must be reserved AT LEAST 2 weeks in advance.  A reservation can be rescheduled or refunded, but please not refunds may take up to 2 weeks or more. Q. What is the cost to rent a pavilion?

A. The fee for Ridgeland residents Ridgeland residents is $75.00 for 3 hours, non-residents is $100. Additional time can be requested at $25.00 per additional hour.

Q. Do you have to pay a deposit to reserve a pavilion?

A. There is no deposit however, all rental fees must be paid two weeks prior to your event in order to have exclusive use of the pavilion.

Q. Can you reserve a pavilion for reunions (family, class, etc.)?

A. The maximum capacity at Freedom Ridge pavilions is 25 to 30 people. The maximum capacity at Friendship pavilion is 25 to 30 people.
Crawfish boils and Family Reunions are not permitted.

Q. Can you reserve a pavilion on holidays?

A. The pavilions cannot be reserved on holidays (or during city events) due to staff availability. If a pavilion is not reserved it  may be used on a first come first serve basis.

Parks FAQ

Q. How long is the walking trail at Friendship and Freedom Ridge Parks?

A. Friendship Park trail is 1 mile. One lap around Freedom Ridge Park trail is 1/3 mile.

Q. Are dogs allowed in the parks?

A. No. However, Pearl River Valley Water Supply District that manages Old Trace Park in Ridgeland allows dogs. Dogs on leashes are allowed on the multiuse trail. Do not allow the leash to extend across the trail as it can be a hazard to other users. The leash must be 6 feet or shorter when walking on the trail located within the Natchez Trace Parkway property. You must remain in control of your dog and pick up after him/her.

Q. Do you offer programs for special needs children/adults?

A. Yes, we offer HOOPS Basketball, TOPSoccer and Miracle League Baseball.

Q. How do I get in contact with the Madison-Ridgeland Youth Club?

A. Go to www.mryouthclub.com for questions about softball, baseball and basketball.

Q. Does the city offer any soccer programs?

A. The Mississippi Futbol Club offers soccer programs. Go to www.mfcsoccer.com for more information.
