Groundbreaking Ceremony for Lake Harbour Drive Extension Project
The City of Ridgeland will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for the following road construction project, Lake Harbour Drive Extension. A new four-lane divided roadway will be constructed, extending Lake Harbour Drive from Highway 51 to Highland Colony Parkway. The project includes a box culvert replacement under the Canadian National Railway, utility relocations, a bridge over I-55, and a multiuse trail.
When: 9:30 a.m., Thursday, April 13
Where: Ridgeland City Hall, 304 Highway 51, Ridgeland, Mississippi
The event will be held in the parking area at the corner of Highway 51 and Lake Harbour Drive.
Who: This is a project of the City of Ridgeland, designed by Waggoner Engineering. Total cost of the project will be $23 million funded by the following:
- two federal grants totaling $11 million
- Federal Surface Transportation Program funds of $3.3 million administered by the Missisisppi Department of Transportation
- the State of Mississippi provided $1.5 million
- $1 million from the Madison County Board of Supervisors.
