Old Agency Road Closure

THE CITY OF RIDGELAND ANNOUNCES TEMPORARY CLOSURE ON OLD AGENCY ROAD

RIDGELAND, MS— Beginning Monday, February 17, 2025, the City of Ridgeland’s tree clearing contractor will remove dead and hazardous trees from the right-of-way along Old Agency Road. The project is expected to take 3 – 4 weeks to be completed from one end to the other, but the entire road will not be impacted at one time. The closures will occur in phases and will be limited to the area where the contractor is working.

Construction times are limited between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to avoid the rush hours of drivers needing to get to work and home. The contractor will periodically close one lane within work zones and will have flagmen to direct traffic around the crews. There will be intermittent periods when the contractor will need to close both directions to ensure the safety of drivers and crews. Drivers are encouraged to use caution around the crews removing the hazardous trees and to use alternative routes.
