Ridgeland is a true cycling destination that offers locals and visitors a cycling experience like none other. Enjoy mountain biking, a National Scenic Byway and Park, and biking events for families and competitors.

Serious cyclists and casual cruisers share the Natchez Trace Parkway and the Multi-Use Trails in Ridgeland. Some trails even lead to cafes and specialty shops. Ridgeland boasts annual cycling events for all ages and abilities. Our most popular event is the Natchez Trace Century Ride with 25, 50, 62, or 100-mile distance options. On May 4, 2024, we are excited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Natchez Trace Century Ride, which now brings in over 1,000 participants. This ride has something to offer for all types of cyclists and provides riders the unique opportunity to ride a portion of the Natchez Trace Parkway.

In addition, the City of Ridgeland is designated as a Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists. This award owes some of its credit to the Natchez Trace Century Ride.

“The City takes great pride in being a cycling destination, and I have personally enjoyed cycling on our beautiful multi-use trails for many years,” stated Mayor McGee.
