CITY OF RIDGELAND ANNOUNCES THAT LT. EDDY ADDISON HAS GRADUATED FROM
THE FBI NATIONAL ACADEMY

RIDGELAND, MS — The City of Ridgeland proudly announces that Lt. Eddy Addison, Ridgeland Police Department’s Patrol Commander, graduated from the FBI National Academy, Session 294, on June 5, Lt. Addison joins a short but distinguished list of Ridgeland law enforcement leaders who have attended this prestigious leadership academy beginning with Chief Charles H. Newell (FBINA Session 110), Chief Jimmy R. Houston (FBINA Session 187), Chief Randy Tyler (FBINA Session 228), Chief John Neal (FBINA Session 235), Chief Brian Myers (FBINA Session 269) and Assistant Chief Tony Willridge (FBINA Session 281). Ridgeland’s current Chief of Police, Brian Myers, is very proud that Lt. Addison was given the opportunity to experience what the National Academy has to offer. Only two law enforcement leaders from Mississippi are given this opportunity each session. “Lt. Addison’s selection reflects his outstanding leadership and commitment to public service,” stated Chief Myers.

Established on July 29, 1935, the FBI National Academy is a 10-week professional course of study for law enforcement leaders from the US and international agencies. The FBI National Academy aims to enhance leadership, knowledge, and cooperation within the law enforcement community. The Academy emphasizes academics, physical fitness, and networking, with sessions held at the FBI campus in Quantico, Virginia.
