CITY OF RIDGELAND ANNOUNCES NEW CITY CLERK AND HONORS
PAULA TIERCE FOR HER YEARS OF SERVICE

RIDGELAND, MS – The City of Ridgeland is pleased to announce that Angela Richburg will assume the role of City Clerk on July 1. Richburg brings a wealth of experience in municipal finance and administration, having most recently served as City Clerk and CFO for the City of Byram. Before that, she was Deputy City Clerk of Finance and Controller for the City of Clinton.

With over 25 years of expertise in accounting, financial planning, and reporting, Richburg is a proven leader in public service. The City is excited to welcome her to the team.

Ridgeland also recently celebrated Paula Tierce’s retirement, recognizing her 20 years of dedicated service. Tierce began her tenure with the City in 2005 as Director of Human Resources and took on the additional role of City Clerk in 2012. She most recently served as President of the Mississippi Municipal Clerks Association.

During her time as City Clerk, Tierce played a key role in maintaining the City’s longstanding recognition for financial excellence. Under her leadership, Ridgeland continued to receive the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and has now celebrated this honor for 32 years.
