City of Ridgeland Announces 33rd Annual Mayor’s Fun Walk

RIDGELAND, MS — The City of Ridgeland and Ridgeland Recreation & Parks’ Senior Adult Program invite adults age 50 and older to join the 33rd Annual Mayor’s Fun Walk on Wednesday, September 30, at 9:00 a.m. at Northpark’s Center Court.

A longtime Ridgeland tradition, the Mayor’s Fun Walk brings the community together for a morning of movement, fellowship, and fun while connecting participants with local businesses and organizations that serve the area’s senior adult community.

This year’s event will have an especially patriotic spirit as Ridgeland joins communities across the nation in celebrating America250, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. Attendees can enjoy patriotic music and entertainment throughout the morning, including a special performance by the Ridgeland Tappers. The morning will also feature a line dancing performance set to favorite patriotic songs.

In addition to the walk and entertainment, community and business partners will be on hand with helpful information, resources, and giveaways. Participants will have opportunities to win door prizes, and Mayor’s Fun Walk t-shirts will be available while supplies last.

Adults 50 and older are encouraged to bring a friend, wear their red, white, and blue, and join the City of Ridgeland for this special celebration.
