City of Ridgeland Receives Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting

RIDGELAND, MS — The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City of Ridgeland for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2024.
The report was reviewed by an impartial panel and determined to meet the program’s rigorous standards for transparency, accuracy, and full disclosure in financial reporting.
This year’s recognition marks the 33rd consecutive year the City of Ridgeland has received this distinguished honor. Achieving the Certificate of Achievement for more than three decades represents a rare and prestigious accomplishment, demonstrating the City’s longstanding commitment to sound financial management, accountability, and institutional integrity.
Often regarded as the “gold standard” of governmental financial reporting, the award reflects Ridgeland’s dedication to maintaining the highest levels of transparency and fiscal responsibility.
The City would like to extend special recognition and appreciation to Deputy Director of Finance Ashley Daniel for her many years of dedication and hard work, which continue to play an essential role in earning and maintaining this outstanding achievement.
