Community Projects & Involvement

Never Forget Garden, in Freedom Ridge Park: Society of the Honor Guard, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Never Forget Garden Project issued a national invitation to all Americans to plant gardens as a visual way to represent a commitment to honor and remember our veterans and their families. Ridgeland’s Never Forget Garden installation was a collaborative effort between Keep Ridgeland Beautiful, The City of Ridgeland, and the Magnolia State Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The garden was dedicated on November 21, 2021, commemorating the Centennial of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A living memorial space, planted around the ball field pavilion and honoring the service and sacrifice of veterans, is maintained in partnership with Parks and Recreation and community volunteers.
