The Balloon Glow Karaoke Contest winner will kick off the evening’s festivities on the big stage at Celebrate America Balloon Glow, Ridgeland’s annual Independence Day tradition, scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, June 30. It’s $20 to register for the contest. Email krazykaraokems@yahoo.com or call Angela at 601-566-0951. Two nights of vocal contests are held at Burgers and Blues at Centre Park in Ridgeland, off County Line Road on Monday, June 26 and Tuesday, June 27. Finalists compete on Wednesday, June 28.
