Household Hazardous Waste Day

As the final event of the Great American Cleanup in Ridgeland, Keep Ridgeland Beautiful and the City of Ridgeland encourage residents to participate in Household Hazardous Waste Day by safely disposing and recycling items from their homes and garages. Items eligible for drop-off include paint, batteries, and e-waste. Paper shredding services will also be on site. Household Hazardous Waste Day will be held at Holmes Community College on Saturday, May 16 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. This event is funded by a grant from the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality. It is free and open to residents of Ridgeland and Madison County. Business waste will not be accepted. Stations will be set up in the Ridgeland Avenue parking lot where participants may drive up and drop off their items. Volunteers will be on site to help unload heavy items.Household Hazardous Waste Day Flyer 2015_
